About Our Partnership

National Technical Honor Society

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is the honor society for Career & Technical Education, serving 100,000 high school and postsecondary members while awarding over $300,000 in scholarships annually. A national non-profit, NTHS supports the growth and celebration of skilled individuals through career development, leadership, service, and recognition opportunities. Since 1984, NTHS has partnered with education and industry to honor and promote career success for over 1.2 million students.

NTHS Membership

NTHS membership, our longest-running program, began with two Career & Technical Educators’ humble desire to honor their students’ skills and highlight CTE’s value in their community. That vision grew into an internationally recognized honor society for CTE. For over 40 years, NTHS has represented excellence in CTE, recognizing students’ technical and academic achievements. Beyond recognition at induction ceremonies and NTHS graduation regalia, members gain lifetime access to scholarships and career readiness resources to support their career journey. At the chapter level, members engage in career development, leadership, service, and recognition opportunities that help them develop the skills needed for today’s highly competitive workforce.

NTHS Scholarships

NTHS supports the career development of its members by providing over $300,000 in scholarships annually. NTHS scholarships can be used for both long-term and short-term degrees, credentials, and training programs. Many NTHS scholarships can also be used to purchase tools and equipment through the educational institution or through employer tool purchasing agreements for those in apprenticeship or official on-the-job training programs. Since 2005, NTHS has awarded over $3 million in scholarships to its members.

NTHS Chapter Awards Program

The NTHS Chapter Awards Program provides national recognition for outstanding chapter achievement. Guided by our Core 4 Objectives—career development, leadership, service, and recognition—this program celebrates success while providing a structured path for chapter activities. Participation ensures meaningful engagement, fostering member growth and showcasing the impact of Career & Technical Education in schools and communities.
